Creating bookings

A booking is one order: a party, a route, and the goods being moved.

Before you start

You need at least one party in your masters, and at least one branch. On the broker side you will also want vehicles and drivers added.

Creating one

From Bookings, tap the + button and fill in:

  • Party — who the goods belong to
  • From and To — the route
  • Goods, packages, weight — optional but useful on the LR
  • Freight amount — what the party is charged

What appears next depends on which side you are working:

  • Booking mode shows a Broker field.
  • Broker mode shows Vehicle and Driver fields.

Each booking gets a number automatically, in the form BK-2026-0001.

Statuses

A booking moves through: Draft → Confirmed → Broker assigned → Truck assigned → LR generated → Dispatched → Delivered → Closed. Generating a document advances the status for you.

Quotations first

If the party wants a rate before committing, create a Quotation instead, send it, and use Convert to Booking once accepted. The party, route and rate carry across.
